Make impact on Anti-Bullying Week with Lyfta
Monday 12 November marks the beginning of Anti-Bullying Week. This year’s theme is Choose Respect.
Log in to your Lyfta account and visit our Secrets of the Opera resource to find exercises that will get young people thinking about the subject of bullying from some unique and interesting human perspectives.
Explore the Ballet Studio where you can hear from Michal, a young man with aspirations to become an ice hockey player, who unexpectedly discovered his love and talent for ballet.
Discover activities that challenge the idea of gender stereotypes on page 84 of your teacher guide.
Discuss the reasons why Michal was initially reluctant to reveal his ballet career to his friends on page 85 of the teacher guide.
Meet opera prompter Lini, in the Main Stage area. Find out why she set aside her dreams of being an opera singer because of the judgemental and often malicious behaviour of her peers, using page 145 of your teacher guide.

UNITED NATIONS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
In 2015, United Nations countries adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
This lesson ties in nicely with SDG 3, 4, 5, 10, and 16, which are all about good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, reduced inequalities, and peace, justice and strong institutions.
We at Lyfta believe that it is imperative for our children to know what the SDGs are and to feel empowered to make a positive contribution to a better and more sustainable world.
