A short documentary from Awra Amba about Charity & Compassion
We're delighted to share one of our videos and accompanying lesson plans this week, which you can use in lessons or assemblies to discuss migration, community, compassion and charity.
The short documentary is about a lady called Etagegn, who migrated to Awra Amba from another town in Ethiopia after she had lost her family. She arrived there with nothing but her story and the hope that the community would accept her and provide her with refuge.
Please click here to download the lesson plan, which also contains a manuscript for the short documentary. This document has been extracted from the Awra Amba Experience Teacher Guide (a much bigger PDF) which can be downloaded from here for reference.
