Lyfta was judged to be an “outstanding” resource that represents high educational quality and is proven to promote learning efficiently. You can read the comprehensive full evaluation here or the summary here.
AWARDS & ACCLAIM
Lyfta was Finland's official nomination and winner of a Wolrd Summit Award in the Education and Learning category. Lyfta was also selected, two years in a row, by hundred.org as one of the top 100 inspiring innovations in education in the world and won the GES Award for Best Edtech company in Scandinavia.
COVERING NUMEROUS IMPORTANT THEMES
Lyfta is designed to make it easier for teachers to delve into complex themes and topics that can be difficult to introduce and teach.
It’s also a great way to teach about the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are woven into all of our lesson, assembly and project plans.
Lyfta's learning resources include online self-assessments, which schools can use to track how pupils develop. Schools that have been using Lyfta in less culturally diverse parts of the UK and Finland have seen a positive change in pupils' attitudes towards people from different cultural backgrounds.
LYFTA NORTH AMERICA PARTNER PROGRAM IN FALL 2019
Following a successful pilot program with the University of North Carolina and 25 US schools in 2018, we wish to build on our learning and extend our network across North America. We would like to work with school districts/groups through Fall 2019, with a view to demonstrating the positive impact Lyfta can have on learners.
The program will include:
> Working with a group of schools across the district or network
> Providing training (PD) for all participating teachers
> Building a baseline survey based on the district/network’s priorities (e.g. to measure impact on literacy, global awareness, empathy, or other skills/values)
> Building a Lyfta curriculum to run from September - December 2019
> Measuring the impact based on the agreed metrics
> Collecting feedback from participating teachers and students
> Publishing a report and video to summarise learnings and impact made
If you would like to discuss this opportunity further, please fill out the short form and a member of our team will be in touch.
