In a school where children arrive from many different backgrounds and life experiences, shared stories have become a powerful way to build connection. In this spotlight we’ll share how St Augustine's CE Primary School has embedded Lyfta across school life to help every child feel seen, valued and connected to the wider world.

Across Church of England schools, education is rooted in a shared commitment to helping every child grow in wisdom, dignity, and hope, within a community shaped by care and belonging. There are many strong overlaps with Lyfta’s pedagogical approaches. As pupils encounter real lives and perspectives, they are invited into discussions that nurture empathy, deepen their sense of dignity, and support their understanding of community and shared humanity. This blog explores these overlaps, making visible how Lyfta supports the distinctive ethos of CofE education and the priorities reflected in SIAMS. We have a growing community of over 100 Church of England Schools subscribed to Lyfta with over 70% choosing to subscribe for 3 years.

Secondary schools face a particular kind of pressure when it comes to anything that sits outside traditional subject teaching. The timetable is full. Every slot is accounted for. And yet the questions young people are actually living with (e.g. about identity, belonging, fairness, the digital world they're growing up in, and what their place is in a wider, interconnected world) don't always fit inside a single subject boundary. A growing number of secondary schools have found that Lyfta's global, human-story-led approach offers something useful in that space. Four of them, in Rochdale, Oldham, London and Slough, show just how varied the routes in can be, and what happens when young people are given consistent space and time to encounter lives very different from their own.
