If you’re struggling to think of end of term activities that will keep students engaged and inspired during the last few weeks of the school year, then don't worry - we are here to help! From the opportunity to  experience an erupting volcano in 360°s, to being a tourist in a small village in Ethiopia or going behind the scenes at the opera, we’ve got the resources to make the last couple of weeks ones to remember. Here are 5 fun and impactful end-of-term activities, all easy to run and all adaptable for different age ranges.

1. Meet a volcanologist working on an active volcano

Meet Pedro a volcanologist from the Canary Islands and discover how he and his colleagues study volcanoes and work hard to keep people safe and advance our knowledge.

Immersive 360 spaces feature the sights and sounds of an erupting volcano as well as the control centre and the local church which sits above it.

2. Be a tourist in Awra Amba in Ethiopia

Invite students to travel to the fascinating village of Awra Amba in Ethiopia.

Explore ten different spaces in this village and meet some of its residents.

Students can visit the school, weaving workshop, library, clinic and elderly home or be a tourist in the visitors' centre to hear tour guide Enaney talk about the village's journey from food aid reliance, to thriving self-sufficient community.

3. Head off on a virtual city break!

Students can explore urban geography and diverse cultures in a range of cities across the world.

Take in the sights and sounds of the cities of Hong Kong, Amsterdam, Nairobi, Shanghai, Sao Paulo, Addis Ababa, Los Angeles, Santiago, San Francisco, London and Baku.

4. Explore The People's Philosopher and an example of social media being used for good

Do you have any budding YouTubers in your class, thinking of starting their own channel this summer?

Inspire them to do something meaningful on social media like Marcel, the 20-year old Brazilian YouTuber who is bringing philosophy to a new audience.

5. Creating a career

How do you find your dream job? You design it yourself!

For this activity, students can watch Marja-Leena in the Jewellery Maker's Room and see how she designed her own job and the steps needed to get there.

Students can explore a huge range of careers, from urban beekeeper to space scientist, midwife, artist, computer scientist, transport worker, professional musician and much more.
