This lesson is suitable for KS2/3 but is easily adapted for KS1. We recommend removing the first activity and proceeding to the remaining lesson for younger learners. **Lyfta core themes:** Equality and Human Rights, Learning and Growth, Professions and Entrepreneurship. **Lyfta core skills and values**: Courage and Self-Confidence, Entrepreneurship, Healthy Living, Information Retrieval, Intercultural Competence, Work Ethic. **SDGs:** 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9. **National Curriculum objectives:** KS2 Geography - human geography, including types of settlement and land use, economic activity including trade links. KS3 Geography - locational knowledge of the world’s countries to focus on Asia and the Middle East, including key physical and human characteristics, countries and major cities - understand geographical similarities, differences and links between places through the study of human and physical geography of a region within Asia. KS2 PSHE L2. to recognise there are human rights, that are there to protect everyone L26. that there is a broad range of different jobs/careers that people can have L28. about what might influence people’s decisions about a job or career L32. to recognise a variety of routes into careers (e.g. apprenticeship). KS1 Design Technology: Cooking and nutrition to understand where food comes from. KS2 Design Technology understand seasonality, and know where and how a variety of ingredients are grown, reared, caught and processed. KS2 Citizenship - to think about the lives of people living in other places and times, with different values and customs - that differences and similarities between people arise from a number of factors, including cultural, ethnic, racial and religious diversity, gender and disability. KS2/3 Literacy Writing and composition - draft and write for different purposes - retrieve, record and present information from non-fiction.
