Help pupils explore sustainability, climate education and global learning through real human stories that make complex global challenges meaningful and teachable. Lyfta supports enquiry, empathy, perspective-taking and critical thinking while enriching geography, science, citizenship, PSHE and personal development.
The climate crisis is a global emergency, with vast, potentially devastating repercussions. Change requires a society that understands the climate crisis and its extensive impacts, feels accountable for the environment, and takes constructive action.
Schools have long taken this seriously, and climate education and global learning more generally is not new territory for teachers. What's new perhaps is the scale of expectation: the DfE's Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy now calls for climate and green skills to be embedded across the curriculum and the UK's first Natural History GCSE to be launched by 2028 reflects the same shift, from add-on to entitlement.
Through immersive human stories and real-world perspectives, Lyfta helps schools bring climate education, sustainability and global citizenship to life, enabling young people to connect with global challenges, explore diverse perspectives, and develop the empathy, critical thinking and agency to help shape a more sustainable future. Our resources are mapped to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reflecting how interconnected these challenges are (from climate and biodiversity to poverty, equity and wellbeing) rather than treating them as isolated topics.
