Respect and Inclusion is the first unit in Lyfta's Year of Values course, a year-long values education programme. Across six lessons, students encounter powerful human stories from around the world: from a London train station to a young dancer in Azerbaijan, and beyond. Through immersive films and guided discussions, pupils explore what it means to treat others with dignity, to value difference, and to stand up for those who are excluded. Designed for whole-class sessions or assemblies, each lesson blends story, reflection, and dialogue to build empathy, self-awareness, and relational skills. As part of the wider Year of Values course, this module lays the foundation for future explorations of compassion, resilience, responsibility, and more - helping schools nurture confident, connected, and caring young people.

Compassion and Empathy is the second module in Lyfta’s Year of Values course for secondary students. Through six lessons, learners encounter authentic global stories - from a violin-playing girl visiting a care home, to an activist supporting street animals, to families celebrating cultural traditions. These stories prompt students to think critically about how compassion and empathy operate at both personal and societal levels. The module explores how caring actions influence relationships, communities, and wider society, while also questioning the challenges of living compassionately in a complex world. Students are invited to reflect on their own responses, consider multiple perspectives, and practise empathy through dialogue and relational thinking. This module supports PSHE and Citizenship priorities, while encouraging students to connect values to lived realities and to their own capacity for action.

Courage and resilience is the third unit in Lyfta’s Year of Values course for primary students. Across six lessons, students encounter real human stories from around the world. Through immersive films and storyworlds, students are encouraged to reflect on what courage and resilience mean in different contexts, and how these values shape their own communities and lives. The unit invites students to question, discuss, and explore courage and resilience in practice. It builds understanding of diversity, human rights, and shared humanity, while fostering empathy, dialogue, and critical thinking.

Perseverance and Growth is the fourth unit in Lyfta’s Year of Values course for secondary students. Across six lessons, students encounter real human stories from around the world. Through immersive films and storyworlds, students are encouraged to reflect critically and relationally on what perseverance and growth mean in different contexts, and how these values shape their own communities and lives. Rather than memorising fixed definitions, the unit invites students to question, discuss, and explore the complexity of perseverance and growth in practice. It builds understanding of diversity, human rights, and shared humanity, while fostering empathy, dialogue, and critical thinking.

Stewardship and Responsibility is the fifth unit in Lyfta's Year of Values course, a year-long values education programme for primary schools. Across six lessons, students encounter powerful human stories from around the world . Designed for whole-class sessions or assemblies, each lesson blends story, reflection, and dialogue to build empathy, self-awareness, and relational skills. Aspiration and Gratitude is the sixth and final unit in Lyfta’s Year of Values course for secondary students. Across six lessons, students encounter real human stories from around the world. Through immersive films and storyworlds, students are encouraged to reflect critically and relationally on what aspiration and gratitude mean in different contexts, and how these values shape their own communities and lives. Rather than memorising fixed definitions, the module invites students to question, discuss, and explore the complexity of aspiration and gratitude in practice. It builds understanding of diversity, human rights, and shared humanity, while fostering empathy, dialogue, and critical thinking.
