This lesson can be used in KS3 or 4. In activity 3, there are some suggested extended answers that you might choose to include or delete as you decide. We suggest including at least **one** from birds, elephants or sealions so students have an idea of the kind of length and detail you want to see. **National Curriculum Objectives:** KS3 English skills: Reading comprehension - Information retrieval, identifying main ideas and summarising these (non-fiction); - read a range of texts critically, for meaning. KS3 and KS4 English skills: writing - planning - organising information and ideas - using language techniques effectively - write accurately, fluently, effectively and at length; considering how their writing reflects the audiences and purposes for which it was intended. - developing vocabulary. KS3 Computing - create, re-use, revise and re-purpose digital artefacts for a given audience, with attention to trustworthiness, design and usability (activity: writing ALT text).
