This assembly is suitable for any age group, but is especially suited to KS2/3. A paired lesson plan 'Exciting Egypt' would be a great follow up. **National Curriculum Objectives:** KS2 Geography - understand geographical similarities and differences through the study of human and physical geography - understand human geography, including: types of settlement and land use, economic activity including trade links, and the distribution of natural resources including energy, food, minerals and water. KS3 Geography - extend locational knowledge and deepen awareness of the world’s countries (Egypt in Africa) focusing on environmental regions, including key physical and human characteristics of major cities. KS2 History: - opportunity to reflect on learning about Ancient Egypt.
