This assembly is suitable for Key Stages 1 and 2. **Lyfta core themes:** Community and Citizenship, Health and Wellbeing, Professions and Entrepreneurship, Relationships. **Lyfta core skills and values**: Empathy and Understanding Others, Generosity and Kindness, Responsibility and Accountability. **SDGs:** 3, 11. **National Curriculum objectives:** KS1 Citizenship 2e. to realise that people and other living things have needs, and that they have responsibilities to meet them. KS2 Citizenship to recognise the role of voluntary, community and pressure groups to think about the lives of people living in other places and times, and people with different values and customs; to make real choices and decisions to discuss dilemmas they come across in life (stray/unwanted pets; how to deal with such issues responsibly). KS1 Science (Year 2): notice that animals, including humans, have offspring which grow into adults find out about and describe the basic needs of animals, for survival (water, food and air) KS2 Science to identify that animals need the right types and amount of nutrition, cannot make their own food and get nutrition from what they eat to recognise that living things produce offspring of the same kind.
