Assembly: Reduce plastic waste

The following concepts are introduced: refusing, reducing, reusing, recycling. This storyworld series has links with Andrea's Yard in Argentina. In particular, this assembly is linked with the assembly, 'Resilience and adaptability'. **Lyfta core themes:** Community and Citizenship, Health and Wellbeing, Natural Environment, Professions and Entrepreneurship. **Lyfta core skills and values**: Active Citizenship and Political Awareness, Environment and Sustainability, Understanding Data. **SDGs:** 11, 12, 14. **National Curriculum objectives:** KS2 PSHE L5. to learn ways of carrying out shared responsibilities for protecting the environment in school and at home to understand how everyday choices can affect the environment (e.g. reducing, reusing, recycling; food choices) L28. to think about what might influence people’s decisions about a job or career (e.g. personal interests and values) L29. to learn that people may choose to do voluntary work which is unpaid.
