In this assembly we learn about Ivan's traditions as a Cossack and reflect on our own; and how they might help us have a sense of identity and belonging. **Lyfta core themes:** Community and Citizenship, Culture and Identity, Learning and Growth, Professions and Entrepreneurship, Relationships. **Lyfta core skills and values**: Empathy and Understanding Others, Intercultural Competence, Work Ethic. **National Curriculum objectives:** KS2 PSHE H25. about personal identity; what contributes to who we are (e.g. ethnicity, family, gender, faith, culture, hobbies, likes/dislikes) R32. about respecting the differences and similarities between people and recognising what they have in common with others e.g. physically, in personality or background R33. to listen and respond respectfully to a wide range of people, including those whose traditions, beliefs and lifestyle are different to their own. KS2 Citizenship to reflect on spiritual, moral, social, and cultural issues, using imagination to understand other people's experiences; to think about the lives of people living in other places and times, and people with different values and customs; to learn that differences and similarities between people arise from a number of factors, including cultural, ethnic, racial and religious diversity, gender and disability.
