This assembly introduces Ahen who is a tatung, or spirit medium. You could use it to explore themes such as spirituality and alternative worldviews. If you would like to do a follow-up lesson afterwards to explore the themes further, we recommend the Lyfta lesson 'In service of others'. **Lyfta Core themes:** Culture and Identity, Learning and Growth. **Lyfta Core Skills and Values** Critical Thinking, Empathy & developing multiple perspectives, Intercultural Competence, Lifelong Learning, Mindfulness. **SDGs:** 3. **National Curriculum Objectives:** KS2 PSHE R33. to listen and respond respectfully to a wide range of people, including those whose traditions, beliefs and lifestyle are different to their own. KS3 PSHE R3. about the similarities, differences and diversity among people of different race, culture, ability and so on. KS2 Citizenship - to think about the lives of people living in other places and times, and people with different values and customs - that differences and similarities between people arise from a number of factors, including cultural, ethnic, racial and religious diversity, gender and disability. RE (KS2-4) Your locally agreed RE curriculum is agreed by SACRE. The Curriculum Framework for Religious Education in England (2013) available at https://www.natre.org.uk/uploads/RE_Review_Summary.pdf aims to ensure that all pupils know about and understand a range of religions and worldviews. The themes of this assembly and lessons within this storyworld allow students to explore worldviews with which they may be less familiar.
