This lesson is suitable for a KS3 or KS4 classroom and adaptable for a KS5 context. It could be used in PSHE or geography; or with politics or citizenship students. The final activity on global statistics can be omitted or extended as necessary, or used as a follow up home learning task. We meet midwife Ximena, delivering babies in a makeshift camp on the Mexican border with the southern US.
