This is an ideal introduction lesson to the storyworld, No Cossack Without a Horse. One activity could be carried out as a drawing and writing task, so would need some paper. **Lyfta core themes:** Community and Citizenship, Culture and Identity, Natural Environment, Professions and Entrepreneurship. **Lyfta core skills and values**: Empathy and Understanding Others, Human Rights, Intercultural Competence. **SDGs:** 15. **National Curriculum objectives:** KS2 PSHE H25. to learn about personal identity; what contributes to who we are (e.g. ethnicity, family, gender, faith, culture, hobbies, likes/dislikes) R32. to understand about respecting the differences and similarities between people and recognising what they have in common with others e.g. physically, in personality or background R33. to listen and respond respectfully to a wide range of people, including those whose traditions, beliefs and lifestyle are different to their own. KS2 Geography to locate the world’s countries, using maps to focus on Europe (including the location of Russia) and North and South America, concentrating on their environmental regions, key physical and human characteristics, countries, and major cities to understand geographical similarities and differences through the study of human and physical geography of a region of the United Kingdom, a region in a European country, and a region within North or South America to describe and understand key aspects of physical and human geography.
