This lesson is an accessible introduction to modes of transport suitable for KS1 and easily adaptable for KS2. It is an experiential lesson where children get the chance to see what it might be like to ride different vehicles. The main activity involves designing and, if appropriate, making their own vehicle. It is designed to be taught from the front of the class but could be used on personal devices with pairs of learners. You might like to split it into 2 parts, with the explore places first, then the design and make part later. **Lyfta core themes:** Culture and Identity, Health and Wellbeing **Lyfta core skills and values:** Creativity and Innovation, Design Thinking. **SDG:** 3, 11. **National Curriculum Objectives:** KS1 English Speaking: listen and respond appropriately to adults and their peers ask relevant questions to extend their understanding and knowledge.
