My identity: Part 2
In this lesson we will revisit Asmir and think about your identity. We will also carry out some numeracy tasks based on population data in Denmark.

**This lesson is the 2nd of a pair of lessons and Part 1 should be taught first.** It explores Asmir's storyworld, Wealth of Choices, and discusses the themes of identity and belonging. **For this lesson, you will need to provide each pupil with a copy of the identity Venn diagram at the bottom of the article 'My identity'. This article is part of the second activity in the lesson plan, entitled 'Your identity'.** **Lyfta core themes:** Community and Citizenship, Culture and Identity, Equality and Human Rights, Health and Wellbeing, Learning and Growth. **Lyfta core skills and values**: Active Listening, Coaching & Mentoring, Critical Thinking, Empathy & Understanding Others, Intercultural Competence. In this lesson, Asmir shares his faith with us as he grows older. We observe how his family practise Sunni Islam, the largest denomination of Islam, practised by most of the world’s Muslims. KS2 Citizenship - to reflect on spiritual, moral, social, and cultural issues, using imagination to understand other people's experiences - to appreciate the range of national, regional, religious and ethnic identities in the UK and elsewhere (Denmark) - to think about the lives of people living in other places and times, and people with different values and customs - that differences and similarities between people arise from a number of factors, including cultural, ethnic, racial and religious diversity.
