In this session, pupils explore how listening can be a powerful way to understand and protect the natural world. Through the storyworld 'Searching for Silence', we meet Kerri, a marine scientist who studies ocean soundscapes and helps reduce noise pollution to protect marine life. She scuba dives off Colombia’s coast and collects sound data over weeks to understand how animals like humpback whales use sound, and how human-made noises disrupt them.
