This lesson should be studied after the lesson 'Meet Andrea' which introduces Andrea and her life and work. We'll introduce the concepts of wellbeing, consumption and responsibility to the environment. There are several numeracy tasks in this lesson and an opportunity for learners to develop their oracy through presenting a news report. **Lyfta core themes:** Community and Citizenship, Equality and Human Rights, Health and Wellbeing, Natural Environment, Professions and Entrepreneurship, Technology and Engineering. **Lyfta core skills and values**: Entrepreneurship, Environment and Sustainability, Human Rights, Information Retrieval, Understanding Data. **SDGs:** 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15. **National Curriculum objectives:** KS2 Literacy to retrieve and record information from non-fiction, drawing inferences and predicting what might happen from details stated and implied to draft and write for different purposes to participate in presentations, role play/improvisations. KS2 Maths to interpret data, including bar charts. KS2 Geography to understand geographical similarities and differences through the study of human and physical geography of a region within South America to recognise aspects of human geography, e.g types of settlement and land use, economic activity and the distribution of natural resources including energy, food, minerals and water to use (virtual and digital) fieldwork to observe human and physical features. KS2 Science to explore examples of human impact (both positive and negative) on environments. KS2 and KS3 Citizenship to think about the lives of people living in other places and times, and people with different values and customs.
