This lesson is the second part of two lessons exploring writing to argue on the topic of sustainable industries. This lesson builds on students' research completed in lesson one (Responsible industries: Part 1), asking them to use their research to inform a letter to a broadsheet newspaper. **Lyfta core themes:** Community and Citizenship, Professions and Entrepreneurship and Natural Environment. **Lyfta core skills and values**: Active Citizenship and Political Awareness, Active Listening, Communication, Environment and Sustainability, Healthy Living, Information Retrieval, Organisation and Planning, Research. **SDGs**: 7, 8, 9, 11, 12. **English KS3 and KS4 key skills** - Planning - Organising information and ideas - Writing non-fiction - Audience, purpose and form - Using language effectively - Vocabulary **Geography KS4 topics** - impacts of industry on the physical environment - examples of how modern industrial development can be more environmentally sustainable.
