This lesson is the first of a pair of lessons exploring Mira's journey into adolescence and her Wiccan beliefs and practices. **The content is suitable for KS3 and above.** We recommend teaching this pair of lessons **after** the lesson called "My Identity: Part 1' which introduces the whole storyworld series. This lesson explores Mira's storyworld, Witches Do Exist, and discusses themes of growing up, womanhood, adolescence, rituals and rites of passage. Wicca is a pagan religion that many learners will not have heard of. In this lesson, Mira and her mother share their lives following the traditions and rituals of the modern Pagan religion of Wicca. Mira and other Wiccans believe in the power of nature, with its masculine and feminine energies.
