This lesson is the (optional) second of a pair of lessons exploring Mira's journey into adolescence and her Wiccan beliefs and practices. **The content is suitable for KS3 and above**, but the art activity as a stand alone activity could be for any age group. We recommend teaching this pair of lessons **after** the lesson called "My Identity: Part 1' which introduces the whole storyworld series. This lesson expects students to have visited Mira's storyworld, Witches Do Exist, and discussed themes of growing up, womanhood, adolescence, rituals and rites of passage. Please note that the film (if revisited) explores growing up, starting periods and the symbolism of saying farewell to childhood. **You will need:** - a large, flattish stone each for each student - waterproof craft or acrylic paint - (optional) varnish **Lyfta core themes:** Culture and Identity, Learning and Growth. **Lyfta core skills and values**: Creativity & Innovation, Mindfulness. **National Curriculum objectives:** KS3 RE (if film is rewatched): The Becoming Me storyworld series includes a vast range of opportunities to meet children from different faith and worldview backgrounds which can link to your locally agreed SACRE syllabus. In this lesson, Mira and her mother share their lives following the traditions and rituals of the modern Pagan religion of Wicca. Mira and other Wiccans believe in the power of nature, with its masculine and feminine energies.
