This mini-lesson can be delivered either from the front of the classroom using a central computer and screen, or for students who have access to their own computers or devices. This lesson introduces Michal, a ballet dancer who wanted to be an ice hockey player as a child. This lesson has links to PSHE theme Learning in the Wider World - in particular L9 'the benefits of setting ambitious goals and being open to opportunities in all aspects of life' and L10 'to recognise and challenge stereotypes and family or cultural expectations that may limit aspirations'. This lesson also has links to PSHE RSE and Relationships theme - especially R3 and R7. You could also use it to explore general personal development themes such as: stereotypes and gender expectation dance, excellence and daring to be different. Like ALL Lyfta storyworlds, these characters are unique.
