This lesson plans introduces Marcelo, a YouTuber in Brazil streaming educational content to the masses. It would be a great partner lesson to 'Develop critical digital literacy' which explores some of the more problematic issues of social media use and wellbeing, thus presenting differing perspectives. It is also a good introduction to how content creators like Marcelo produce or appear in videos, which is a career goal for some young people. This lesson is most suitable for KS2 and above. This lesson can also support the KS2 and KS3 Computing and ICT curriculum: KS3: to understand a range of ways to use technology safely, respectfully, responsibly and securely.
