Strudel sisters
We'll meet the 'strudel sisters', Ilonka and Erzsébet, and find out about their long lives in Hungary. We'll also find out why strudel and singing is so important to them. We'll think about food we share at celebrations, and consider how ageing affects people in different ways.
Teacher notes
This is an ideal introductory lesson to the storyworld, Togetherness, in Hungary. KS2 Citizenship to think about the lives of people living in other places and times, and people with different values and customs to be aware of different types of relationship, including those between friends and families, and to develop the skills to be effective in relationships.
