**Important note: The lesson is suitable for Upper KS2 and KS3 as it deals with growing up, periods - including period poverty - and menstrual products. It could also reinforce curriculum content for older learners. Teachers of younger students could move through this section if they prefer.** **Please note:** It is worth exploring what facilities exist within your setting for supporting youngsters living in period poverty - and for all youngsters. Please direct your pupils to the key people who can discreetly offer them period products.** This lesson introduces 15-year-old Megen who is part of a girls' surf group in Nicaragua, where surfing has been traditionally a boys' pursuit.
