Writing to inform: Part one

This is the first lesson in two parts which explore writing to inform. In this first lesson, students will meet Emmaculate who uses social media to promote her lifestyle photography. Students will then explore how the images we are presented are sometimes not all they appear to be and how users of social media can be manipulated through image enhancement. This will form the basis for students planning and writing a leaflet to inform other young people about the advantages and disadvantages of social media. **Lyfta core themes:** Health and Wellbeing, Technology and Engineering, Professions and Entrepreneurship. **Lyfta core skills and values:** Communication, Critical Thinking, Digital Literacy, Entrepreneurship, Healthy Living, Perspective-Taking, Positive Attitude, Professionalism.
