💜 Compassion and Empathy (Year of Values 2/6 Pri)

Compassion and Empathy is the second module in Lyfta’s Year of Values course for primary schools. Across six lessons, children meet real people from different parts of the world and learn how they show kindness, care, and understanding in their communities. Through immersive films and storyworlds, pupils explore how small actions - like helping a neighbour, caring for animals, or listening to someone’s story - can make a big difference. Each session builds opportunities to reflect on how compassion and empathy look in everyday life and how they can practise these values at school, at home, and beyond. The module is designed to encourage thoughtful discussion, develop emotional literacy, and support pupils in recognising that everyone can make a positive impact through kindness and care.
