In this session, pupils meet Cansu, a 13-year-old girl living in the vibrant, multicultural neighbourhood of Molenbeek in Brussels, Belgium. Cansu dreams of becoming a rapper and performs under the stage name Si-G. With support from mentor Omar G, she’s preparing to record her first music video. Pupils briefly explore the storyworld, then watch the first part of Cansu’s film. They reflect on aspiration through creativity, the courage it takes to try something new, and the importance of family, culture, and self-belief. This is the 5th session in the Primary Aspiration and Gratitude unit. **Learning objectives**: Explore how personal dreams are shaped by identity, values and environment. Reflect on how aspiration involves hard work, support and self-expression. Begin thinking about gratitude as recognising support and opportunity. **Summary of Storyworld**: The Hip Hop Star follows the journey of a teenage girl, Cansu (stage name Si-G), living in Molenbeek, Brussels. She dreams of becoming a rapper and is preparing to record a music video with the help of her mentor Omar.
