This lesson introduces Jasmin aged 12, who moves to Somaliland from Finland with her family. It can be used to explore the themes of new beginnings, embracing two or more cultures, family and belonging. It is the first of two sessions in the Perseverance and Growth Unit of the Secondary Year of Values programme - it is the 2nd lesson of this unit overall, following on from meeting Izandra in Brazil. **Please note that the film is 13 mins long.** This short lesson can be delivered either from the front of the classroom using a central computer and screen, or for students who have access to their own computers or devices. Like ALL Lyfta storyworlds, these characters are unique.
