💜 Respect and Inclusion (Year of Values 1/6 Sec)

About this collection

Respect and Inclusion is the first unit in Lyfta’s Year of Values course for secondary students. Across six lessons, students encounter real human stories from around the world - stories of loneliness and connection, cultural identity, disability activism, hopes and dreams, and challenging stereotypes. Through immersive films and storyworlds, students are encouraged to reflect critically and relationally on what respect and inclusion mean in different contexts, and how these values shape their own communities and lives. Rather than memorising fixed definitions, the module invites students to question, discuss, and explore the complexity of respect and inclusion in practice. It builds understanding of diversity, human rights, and shared humanity, while fostering empathy, dialogue, and critical thinking.
